Jacqueline Woodson Visits Howard County

Books Alive host Barb Langridge interviews author Jacqueline Woodson about her career as an author of books for children and adolescents.

Newbery Honor book recipient Jacqueline Woodson is the author of 25 books, including 8 picture books, 6 middle grade books, and 11 young adult novels. Her novel After Tupac and D Foster was named a Newbery Honor Book. WITS Founder Marvin Hoffman in the Houston Chronicle writes, “Jacqueline Woodson is a phenomenon. Her picture books and chapter books emerge at a stunning rate and grow richer and deeper with time.”

This is worth watching, kids...I've seen this lovely author speak before and she's a whole lot of AWEsome! Very cool, refreshing, smart, and totally tuned into today's kids & teens! If you ever wanted to write a book...WATCH this show!
